The Record

From a gym in Tucson to a listing in the global dunker database. These are the organizations that put the dunking career on the record. Not my word for it, theirs.

How the record got made

I was a college guard first. Eastern Oregon University put my name on an NAIA roster in 2021, out of Ironwood Ridge High School in Tucson, listed at 6′1″ and 155 pounds. That is the earliest outside record of me playing anything.

One thing the roster does not explain: I was at Ironwood Ridge in Tucson for three and a half years, playing varsity as a sophomore and junior. For my senior year I moved to Denver and played at Regis Groff while enrolled at Denver Online, which is where I graduated from. The EOU roster lists Ironwood because that is where I spent almost all of high school.

The dunking came after. Dunkademics, the platform that has filmed over 30,000 dunks since 2011, put up a pro dunker profile and filmed a full session with me. Then the World Dunk Association listed the number I had been claiming: 112 cm, 44 inches, two-foot, plant right-left.

Three organizations and one name from inside the industry, none of them mine. This page is only the outside record. The training lives on Instagram and the full story is on My Story.
